Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban's mother Molly Kunchacko, born in 1956, recently celebrated her 60th birthday in a star-studded function attended by almost all the big names of the industry. 

The grand birthday bash was attended by megastar Mammootty, Nivin Pauly, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan, Jayasurya, Asif Ali, Kavya Madhavan, Aju Varghese, Jomol, Sidhartha Siva, Lal Jose, Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith, Aparna Gopinath, Rosshan Andrews and Fazil, among many others. Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban's mother Molly Kunchacko, born in 1956, recently celebrated her 60th birthday in a star-studded function attended by almost all the big names of the industry. 

The grand birthday bash was attended by megastar Mammootty, Nivin Pauly, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan, Jayasurya, Asif Ali, Kavya Madhavan, Aju Varghese, Jomol, Sidhartha Siva, Lal Jose, Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith, Aparna Gopinath, Rosshan Andrews and Fazil, among many others. Kunchacko Boban, popularly known as Chackochan, has shared video highlights of the birthday celebration Chackochan is currently basking in the success of late Rajesh Pillai's thriller "Vettah," which also has Manju Warrier and Indrajith in the lead. He is also awaiting the release of debutant Rishi Sivakumar's "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti," which marks the comeback of National Film Award winner (child artiste) Shamlee. Interestingly, Shamli's sister Shalini also made her entry as a lead heroine opposite Boban in Fazil's 1997 movie "Aniyathipravu" 19 years ago. 

The actor also has Rosshan Andrews' movie "School Bus" in his kitty. Kunchacko Boban, son of director Boban Kunchacko and grandson of film producer Kunchacko, has also announced the comeback of the Udaya Studio to the production field with Sidhartha Siva's directorial venture "Kochanavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho. ‘1956 ലെ ഒരു കുംഭമാസ രാത്രി, അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി പെയ്ത കുളിർമഴ. അന്നേ ദിവസം അതേ രാത്രിയിൽ ചാലക്കുടിക്കടുത്ത് മാളിയേക്കൽ വീട്ടിൽ‌ ഇട്ടൂപ്പിനും ഭാര്യ മേരിക്കും ഒരു പെൺകുഞ്ഞ് ജനിച്ചു. ഒരു സുന്ദരി കുഞ്ഞ്...:)

Personal life[edit]
Mani was born in Chalakudy, Kerala on 1st of January 1971. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan, Kochi. He started his acting career in the Malayalam film Aksharam as an auto driver. Since then, he has acted in several movies as a comedian. His first serious role was in the film "Vasanthiyum Laksmiyum Pinne Njanum". He has acted in more than 80 films in Malayalam and more than 20 films in Tamil.He is also a professional playback singer and a singer of Nadan Paattu (folk songs). His first album was Kannimanga Prayathil. He has since established a parallel industry of Nadan Pattukal selling a record number of releases. He has also released a few religious songs and Mappila Pattukal, which have not had much success in the market. Mani’s career started portraying comedic roles primarily in Malayalam films which later shifted to serious roles. Eventually he became popular all across South India portraying negative characters in a very different class and style. Despite all the popularity, Mani is well known for his down to earth behavior and providing various humanitarian aids to people in need. Mani was married to Veterinary physician Dr. Nimmy on 22 September 2000 and he is survived by his wife and his daughter, Sree Lakshmy.[4] He was once an autorickshaw driver from Chalakudy.[5] Mani was approached and offered a seat in the 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election by LDF

Death[edit]
The famous mimicry artist died on 6 March 2016 at Amrita Hospital Kochi. He was undergoing treatment for a liver-related illness, according to the hospital. His death has come as a huge shock to the Malayalam film industry that is already mourning the deaths of many artists.[6] Autopsy will be conducted by Dr. Akhil George Mathew

He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan, Kochi.[7] He started his acting career in the Malayalam film Aksharam as an auto rickshaw driver.[citation needed] He has acted in more than 200 films in Malayalam


Controversies[edit]
It was reported that two forest officials were assaulted allegedly by actor Kalabhavan Mani at Kannankuzhi, near Athirappilly, on Tuesday night (14 May 2013). Range officer U.G. Ramesan and beat forester P. Raveendran sustained injuries on the chest, hands, legs and eyes. The forest officials said that Mani was inebriated. [9]

In December 2013, a complaint was lodged against actor Kalabhavan Mani for misbehaving towards customs officials of the Nedumbassery Airport. It has been alleged that the actor, who reached from Kuwait, misbehaved during customs checking. The customs said the actor threw the bangle which he was wearing when asked whether it was gold. [10]

Later the Customs sources said the CCTV footage of 28 November 2013 when he went abroad was examined and it was found that he was wearing the bangle. Hence, he was asked to deposit Rs 5,000 as redemption fine and Rs 2,000 as penalty. The matter was adjudicated by Deputy Commissioner Saz Navaz and the bangle released
